SERVICES

New Hires

We process Field staff new hires, from the application process through onboarding to their first paychecks.

Personnel Changes

We coordinate with supervisors and Field staff for any personnel job changes or Nav Rep commissionings.

Financial Changes

We enter and receive approval for merit increases, bonuses, honorariums, COLA, and other salary changes for Field staff.

Funding Support

We work closely with budgets and cost centers, implement the new Field staff funding policy, and track Field staff deficits in the Staff Financial Center.

Short-term Trips

We partner with World Missions and Collegiate to send volunteers and trip members both nationally and internationally.

Ending Employment

We provide guidance to Field staff as they choose to retire or otherwise end their employment at The Navigators.

MEET THE FSC PERSONNEL TEAM

Nate Sayed, Team Lead

Nate started his journey with The Navigators at Eagle Lake Camps in 2017 before moving over to USHQ in 2021. He’s excited to be able to stand in the gap with field staff as they navigate through the Onboarding process. The thought that takes up the most space in his brain is whether or not to introduce himself as “Nathan” or “Nate.” Either option is fine, but it has caused an unexpected identity crisis.

Cy Langford, Personnel Representative

Cy was introduced to the Navigators through the campus ministry at University of Colorado Colorado Springs in 2016 before working at Glen Eyrie in many roles since 2017, so you may recognize him from the gatehouse, the front desk, the bookstore, or just running around on a golf cart. He started with the Field Support Center in March 2023, and is excited to serve our field staff in both personnel and events. Also no, Cy is not short for anything. Just Cy!

Lauren Canales, Personnel Representative

Lauren first met The Navigators through the campus ministry at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. She participated in the ministry throughout her four years earning her bachelor's degree in Psychology, and in her fifth year while she earned her Elementary Education Certification. After teaching for four years, Lauren joined Navigator staff in 2019. She started serving on the Field Support Center Personnel team in February 2022. Lauren enjoys crafting, baking, and adventuring with her husband and their young son (who will become a big brother in June 2023!)
